We operate out of a ground-floor unit, GF.1, in the Badal Flats over on Periyar Road. It’s in Hasthinapuram, which is part of the Chitlapakkam area here in Chennai. It’s a busy neighborhood and we fit right in. Being in a residential-style building means we see our neighbors every day. Our focus is granites. It’s heavy stuff to move around in this part of town, but we manage. The traffic on Periyar Road can be a bit much sometimes, especially when we are trying to coordinate a delivery. We aren't a big corporate office with glass walls. It's a modest space where we keep our records and talk to people who need stone for their homes. Most of our customers are from right here in the 600064 zip code. We've been around long enough that people know to look for us in the flats. The work involves a lot of phone calls and checking on stock. Granite is one of those things that people want to look at closely before they decide. We try to be helpful without pushing anything on anyone. It’s just us doing our job. Sometimes the office gets a bit cramped with all the samples and paperwork, but that's just part of being a small business in Chennai. We like the local feel of Hasthinapuram and the people who live around here. It's just home to us.
