We've been around at 30, Ali Towers for a while now. Greams Road is usually busy, so if you're coming by, you know how the traffic gets. We work with concrete machines. It's heavy stuff and the yard can get pretty messy when we're moving things around. There’s a lot of metal and parts everywhere most days. We just focus on getting the gear ready for whoever needs it on their site. Sometimes the phones ring off the hook and other days it's just us maintenance guys tinkering with the pumps. We don't have a fancy lobby or anything like that. It’s mostly just desks and files and the sound of the city outside. Most people who come here already know what they're looking for. It’s a job that keeps us busy from morning till evening. We’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years but we’re still here in the same spot. Dealing with construction equipment means things break and we have to figure out how to fix them. It isn't always pretty work. Sometimes the grease gets on everything. We just try to keep up with the orders and make sure the machines are going where they're supposed to go. If you walk up to the office on the 55th block, you’ll see us probably drinking tea or sorting through some paperwork. It’s just how we do things here every day. No frills, just the usual routine.
