Proville Spices Private Limited

We're located on Canal Bank Road in Adyar. It’s the old number 8/2, but now it’s 23. It gets confusing for delivery drivers sometimes. We work with spices here. The smell of turmeric and chili is always in the air at Proville Spices Private Limited. Some mornings it's really strong and makes you sneeze. We spend a lot of time sorting through bags and making sure everything is labeled right. Kasturba Nagar is a busy area, so there’s always traffic outside our door. We’ve got a small setup, nothing too grand. Just some shelves, a packing area, and a lot of spice containers. The humidity in Chennai can be a bit of a pain for the powders, so we have to be careful about how we store things. It’s mostly just a few of us running the show. We take orders, pack them up, and send them out. It’s a bit cramped inside with all the boxes, but we manage. Sometimes we sit out front when it's quiet to get some air. People walk by and ask what we're doing. We just tell them we're working with spices. It’s straightforward work. We don't have fancy machines, just a lot of manual sorting. It feels like a real local business because it is. We know the shopkeepers nearby and sometimes share tea. It is a busy life, but it keeps us on our toes.
