Our place is at 4, Erulappan Street in Sowcarpet. If you know Sowcarpet, you know how narrow and crowded the streets are. It’s a maze of shops and people everywhere. Paras Petro Chemicals has been here amidst all that noise. We deal with various chemicals, mostly for industrial use. It’s not the kind of shop where people just wander in to browse. Usually, people come to us because they need something specific for their work. We spend a lot of time on the phone or talking to people who come by with their requirements. The street is always full of handcarts and scooters, so getting deliveries in can be a real headache. You have to be patient to work in this part of town. We have a small office and a storage area that is packed to the ceiling. It’s a bit dark inside compared to the bright street outside. We have been in this area for years, so we are used to the chaos. We don't have any fancy brochures or a marketing team. We just know our products and we know our customers. Most of them have been buying from us for a long time. It’s a tough environment but there’s a lot of energy in Sowcarpet. We just keep our heads down and do our work every day. It's a living and we've been doing it for a long time.
