One Kg Briyani Shop

Our shop is on 1st Avenue in Shastri Nagar, Adyar. It’s a small place at No 13/4. The main thing we do is biryani, usually by the kilo. You can smell the spices from down the street when we start cooking in the morning. It’s a lot of chopping onions and getting the rice just right. The kitchen is always hot, and there's steam everywhere. We don’t have a lot of tables for sitting down. Most people just come by to pick up their orders and take them home to their families. We stay pretty busy on the weekends when people have parties or gatherings. It’s just a few of us working here. We handle the cooking, the packing, and the cleaning. Sometimes we run out of food earlier than expected, and we have to tell people we're closed for the day. That’s just how it is when you cook in batches. We don't use any secret recipes or anything; it's just the way we’ve always made it. Adyar is a nice neighborhood, and we have a lot of regulars from the nearby houses. We don’t spend money on ads. The smell of the food does the work for us. We just focus on keeping the pots full and the customers happy with their meal. It’s simple, honest cooking.
