The shop is called Ok, and we are at No.98 on Pulianthope High Road in Chennai. We are right near the Amdika Hotel, which is a good landmark if you are trying to find us. It’s a very busy area with lots of trucks and bikes going past all day long. The name is simple because we didn't see the point in having anything too fancy. We just sell everyday things that people in the neighborhood need. The shop is small and the walls are a bit plain, but it works for what we do. I spend most of my day sitting behind the counter, watching the traffic and helping customers who pop in. It’s usually quite dusty because of all the construction and the vehicles on Pulianthope High Road. We don't have any big signs or bright lights outside. People just know we are here. Sometimes the heat in Chennai makes it hard to do much, so we just take it slow during the afternoons. It’s a one-man show mostly, though sometimes a friend comes by to help out for a few hours. We aren't trying to change the world or anything, just running a local business and making a living. If you need something basic and you’re in the area, you just stop by. It’s a straightforward place and we like it that way.
