Nirmal Beauty Parlour

You can find Nirmal Beauty Parlour at No 16 on New Street. This is in the Perambur Barracks area of Chennai, specifically near Kosapet and Nammalwarpet. We are quite close to Balaji Hospitals, so we get a lot of people who are in the area for that. New Street is a bit tucked away but it stays busy with locals going about their business. The shop itself is simple. We have the usual mirrors and some old chairs that are still comfortable enough. We don't really go for fancy decorations or anything like that. It’s more about just having a place where people can come to get cleaned up. We’ve been here for a while, so the walls have some marks and the floor is a bit worn from all the walking. Every morning, we sweep out the dust from the street and set up for the day. Perambur is a crowded place, but we like the energy of it. There is always someone walking by or a bike horn honking nearby. We talk to the neighbors and the shopkeepers next door. It’s a community. When we aren't busy with a customer, we’re usually cleaning our tools or just sitting by the door watching the street. It’s honest work, and we don’t try to make it seem like anything else. We just do our best with the scissors and the thread and keep things moving. The days go by fast when there is a lot to do.
