New Prince Salon

New Prince Salon is a small place on Kuppier Street. We are right near the George Town Bank in Kondithope. Being in Park Town, it gets very busy during the day. Chennai is always hot, so we have a fan that stays on from morning till night. The shop is at No.4/7. It is not very large, but we managed to fit three chairs inside. Most of our customers are men from the nearby offices or people who live in the apartments around here. We do a lot of shaves and basic haircuts. My uncle started this place a long time ago, and the name has just stayed the same. The tile on the floor is chipped in a few places, but it is clean. We do not have any of those fancy magazines, just the local daily paper. Sometimes the neighborhood kids come in to see if we have any spare change or just to hang out. We are just a regular part of the street. If you need a quick trim before a meeting, you can just walk in. There is no need to call ahead or anything. We do not even have a computer. Everything is done the old way. We just try to keep the scissors sharp and the customers satisfied so they come back next month. It is a simple business for simple people. We are glad to be in 600003 and part of this busy community.
