Naturals Lounge

Ethiraj Salai is always moving, especially with the college right next door to us at Naturals Lounge. We are on the ground floor of Fagun Mansion, which is an old building that most people in Egmore know quite well. Being so close to Ethiraj College means we see a lot of students coming in between their classes or after they finish for the day. It’s a very lively atmosphere, especially in the afternoons when the street is packed with traffic and people heading to the station. Our shop has a lot of glass at the front, so you can see the whole world passing by while you sit inside. We get a mix of office workers from the nearby buildings and the younger college crowd, which keeps us on our toes. The work is steady, and there is always something to do, whether it’s cleaning up after a haircut or restocking the shelves. Chennai weather means people are always coming in to get away from the heat for a bit. We don't put on any acts here; we just work hard and try to keep things organized for the next person. Sometimes the shop gets really loud with everyone talking and the sound of dryers, but that is just how it is in Egmore. We’ve been in this building for a while now and feel like a real part of the street, watching all the changes happen around us.
