Murugan Agency

At No:51 Eswaran Koil Street, you will find the Murugan Agency. West Mambalam is a crowded neighborhood, and our street is no exception. The sound of temple bells is almost constant during the day. It is a small shop, often packed to the ceiling with various boxes and supplies. We spend a lot of time just shifting things around to create a little bit of walking space. The fans on the ceiling are old and they make a steady humming noise while we work. Afternoon heat can be a bit much, but we keep the doors open anyway. Customers from the local streets drop in frequently, some just to say hello. Our record keeping is done in some thick ledger books and a computer that has seen better days. Scuff marks on the floor show where we have been dragging stock for years. It is not the most modern office, but it serves us well. Every morning starts with a quick sweep of the front step. We don't have a big marketing department or anything like that. It is just a few of us handling the daily chores of a local agency. Dealing with the suppliers and making sure the accounts are right takes up most of our time. By the time evening comes, the street gets a little quieter and we finally get to close the doors and go home.
