About Mary Bricks – Building & Construction Material in Chennai
We've been here on Redhills Road for a good while now. It’s not a fancy place, just a lot of bricks and some space in Pallikuppam. Most days start early because the sun gets real hot over here in Ambattur by noon. We spend a lot of time just moving things around and making sure the stacks are straight so they don’t tip over when the wind picks up. There’s always a bit of dust in the air, but that’s just how it is when you’re dealing with this kind of work. The gate at number 265 stays open most of the day. Sometimes people stop by just to ask directions, and we tell them where to go. We don't have a big office or anything with air conditioning. Usually, we just sit on the plastic chairs under the shade when the tea man comes around. It’s quiet enough except for the trucks coming in and out. The bricks are heavy and the work is slow sometimes, but we get through the piles. My shirt is usually covered in red dirt by lunch. We don't really do much advertising or stuff like that. Most people just know we’re here because they see the red piles from the road. It’s a simple life. We watch the traffic go by and wait for the next load to arrive. It’s not much, but it’s our spot and we keep it running every single day.
