No 10 V O C Street is a fairly quiet spot compared to the main roads around here. The clinic sits there quietly, and we’ve been operating out of this building for quite some time. The front door has a slight squeak when you open it, no matter how much oil we put on the hinges. Inside, it’s mostly just the basics—some chairs, a desk for the paperwork, and the examination rooms in the back. We don't spend much on decorations or fancy rugs because that’s not really why people are coming here. Most of our patients live within walking distance, so they just pop in when something is bothering them. The filing system is all paper, stacked in those green folders that everyone uses. On some afternoons, when the sun hits the street, it gets very quiet and you can hear the birds or the occasional motorbike passing by outside. The staff here consists of just a few of us who have worked together for years. We handle everything from minor scrapes to the usual seasonal fevers that go around the neighborhood. It’s a simple setup, and we like it that way because it makes things less complicated for everyone. There’s a small water cooler in the corner that we have to refill every morning. We just try to keep things organized and help out whoever walks through the door without any extra drama or unnecessary overhead costs.
