M L Industry

Over at 221 Burma Colony in Perungudi, that’s where we run M L Industry. It’s a practical sort of place. We don't have any big signs or flashy lights. Mostly, we just keep the doors open and get to work on whatever is scheduled for the day. Perungudi is a good spot for us, and being in Burma Colony means we’re surrounded by other folks just trying to earn a living. The work we do here is hands-on. We deal with materials and machines, so it can get a bit loud and messy at times. That doesn’t bother us much. We aren't trying to be anything we’re not. We started this because we knew how to make things and wanted to do it our own way. Some days the machines give us trouble, or a delivery shows up late, but we just figure it out. That’s the way it goes when you’re running a small industry. We’ve got a handful of people working here who’ve been with us for a while. We know each other’s families and what’s going on in the neighborhood. It’s more like a community than just a workplace. If you need something, you just come by and talk to us. We don't have a lot of rules about how things are done as long as the work is solid and finished on time. It’s a simple setup that works for the way we like to live.
