Lights & Bristles

Lights & Bristles is located over on Thirumurugan Street. If you know SRVS Colony in Keelkattalai, you’ve probably passed by our door at some point. We’re at number 15/8. It’s a quiet enough street most days, though the mornings can get a bit loud with people heading to work. We started this because we wanted something to do close to home. The space isn’t huge, but it fits what we need. We have our tools and materials spread out. Sometimes it gets a bit messy, but that’s just how we work. We don't really go for that clinical look you see in big chain places. It feels more like a workshop here. We handle the day-to-day stuff ourselves. If the phone rings, one of us picks it up. If someone walks in, we stop what we're doing to talk. It's pretty straightforward. The neighborhood has changed a bit since we opened, but we’re still here in the same spot. We don't spend much on decorating. Most of our furniture is just stuff we picked up because it was practical. We like being part of the local community here in Keelkattalai. It’s a good place to be. We just focus on getting the jobs done and making sure we don't lose any of our supplies in the corners of the room. There’s a small window in the back that lets in some light during the afternoon. It’s nice to have a bit of sunshine while we’re working on something. We often leave the door slightly open if the weather is good.
