Our place is located out on Mount Poonamalli High Road in Manapakkam. It is a pretty busy stretch of road and we have been at this spot for quite some time now, with our mail going to Po Box No 990. The facility here is where the heavy work happens for L&T Kobelco Machinery. Most days start early before the sun gets too high and the traffic starts building up outside our gates. You can hear the sounds of the machinery being put together throughout the day. We deal with various types of industrial equipment and the metal parts that go with them. It is dusty work sometimes but that is just how it goes in this line of business. The guys on the floor know these machines inside and out. We spend a lot of time checking the inventory and making sure everything is where it should be. Sometimes people come by looking for specific parts and we have to go through the back to find what they need. It is not a fancy place, just a regular workshop and office setup where people show up and do their jobs. The lunch break is usually the quietest time here before things pick back up in the afternoon. We have seen the area around Manapakkam change a lot over the years with more buildings coming up nearby. But we are still here, right on the main road, doing the same work we have always done.
