L&T Contructions

You can find us at No 979 on Mount Poonamallee Road in Manapakkam. It’s a pretty large site and the traffic on the main road outside is almost always heavy. L&T Contructions has a lot of activity going on here every single day. You will see people in their safety gear and helmets moving between the different buildings all the time. The office buildings are quite big and have a lot of glass, but once you’re inside, it’s just people busy at their desks. We have a canteen on the premises where everyone goes for lunch, and that is usually the best place to hear about what’s happening on the different sites. The Chennai humidity is quite something, so the air conditioning is always running at full strength inside the offices. There is quite a bit of security at the main gates, so it takes a little time just to get in and out of the compound. It is a very structured place to work, but it still feels like a construction hub where things are being planned and built. There’s a constant noise from the road and the general buzz of a big office. We spend our days looking at project schedules, talking to vendors, and making sure the drawings are being followed correctly. It’s a lot of work, and the scale of it can be surprising if you aren't used to it. We just follow the daily routine and keep things moving.
