We are located at 19 on the Madras Thiruvallur High Road in Villivakkam. If you know MTH Road, you know how much traffic there is. It’s constant noise from the buses and the bikes outside. Our place is right on the main stretch, so it’s easy to find but hard to park near. We have a small shopfront that’s usually open to the street. The air is always a bit heavy with exhaust fumes, but we’re used to it. Inside, we have rows of shelves filled with whatever we’re currently handling. It’s a bit dark towards the back of the building. We use a lot of tube lights to see what we’re doing. There’s a small desk near the entrance where we take care of the customers who walk in. It’s a busy atmosphere. We don't have time for much else besides the work at hand. Sometimes the rain floods the edge of the road, and we have to put out some sandbags. We’ve been part of this Villivakkam neighborhood for quite some time. Most of the other shop owners nearby are friends. We share the same problems with the traffic and the heat. It’s just a normal day-to-day operation here on the high road. We do our work, talk to the regulars, and close the shutters once it gets dark.
