We are based over at the L&T Campus on Mount Poonamallee Road in Manapakkam. Specifically, you can find us at C-1 within the grounds. It is a pretty large area, and we have been situated here for quite some time now. Our work involves shipbuilding, which is a big undertaking with a lot of moving parts. It requires many people working together in this one space. The campus is always buzzing with people coming and going at all hours. We have our offices here where all the main planning and coordination happens. Dealing with ships means looking at a lot of technical details and making sure everything is lined up correctly before the actual heavy work begins. It is definitely not a simple job to manage. We spend a lot of our time looking at technical drawings and talking things through with the engineers. The road outside, Mount Poonamallee Road, is usually packed with cars and buses, especially during the morning rush. It makes getting in and out of the campus a bit of a chore some days. We have a lot of history at this specific location in Manapakkam. It’s where the teams meet to figure out the next steps for whatever vessel is currently being worked on. We don’t go for anything flashy here. It is mostly about the actual labor and making sure the ships are built right according to the plans. There is a rhythm to the daily operations that we all follow.
