Kavins Saloon

You can find Kavins Saloon at No: 44 on Paddy Field Street in Perambur. We are very close to the Perambur Bus Terminus, so it’s a very busy part of Chennai. There is always the sound of buses and people shouting nearby. Our shop is right in the middle of that energy. It’s not a large place, but we have enough room for a few people to get their hair done at once. The floor is tiled and we try to keep it wiped down, though with the Chennai dust, it’s a constant battle. We have some posters of different hairstyles on the walls, though most people just ask for the same thing every time. We don't have a fancy website or anything like that. We just have our doors open for whoever walks in. The scissors are always moving and the spray bottles are always full. We get a lot of people who are just passing through the bus stand and need a quick trim. We also have our regulars who have been coming to us for years. It’s a hot city, so we keep the fans on high. Sometimes the water pressure is a bit low, but we manage. We aren't trying to be a high-end boutique. We are just a regular saloon on a busy street doing regular work for regular people. It’s simple, it’s loud, and it’s how we like it.
