Karthick Event

Our office is located at No 19/34 on Irusappan 1st Street, right in the heart of New Washermanpet. It is tucked behind the Surya Hostel, so it’s a bit of a walk through the lanes to find us. This part of Chennai, Tondiarpet, is always moving and there is a lot of energy in the air. We have a small ground-floor space that we’ve turned into our headquarters. It’s not very big, and if we have a lot of stuff coming in, we have to stack things up high against the walls. The floor is tiled but has a few cracks here and there from years of use. We have a couple of desks pushed together in the middle of the room. Most of the time, the street noise from Irusappan 1st Street comes right inside, so it’s never really quiet here. We don’t mind it much because it feels like we are part of the neighborhood. There is a small tea shop just a few doors down where we get our morning chai. We don't have fancy lights or expensive furniture. Everything at Karthick Event is about being practical and having enough space to move around. We spend our days coordinating things and making sure we haven't forgotten any details. When the day is over, we pull down the shutters and head out into the busy night streets of Washermanpet. It’s just a regular, hardworking spot in a very busy part of town.
