Kanishka Beauty Parlour

We've been here on Sri Rangammal Street in Old Washermanpet for a while now. Most people find us easily because we're just behind Theayagaraya College. It's a busy part of Chennai, but once you step inside Kanishka Beauty Parlour, it’s a bit quieter. I started this place because I noticed people in the neighborhood needed a spot to get their hair and skin looked after without having to travel too far into the city. We do regular stuff like haircuts, threading, and facials. Nothing too fancy, just what people need for their day-to-day life or maybe a wedding in the family. It’s mostly local ladies who come in. Some have been visiting since we first opened the doors at 69/28. We try to keep things simple here. The chairs are comfortable enough, and we keep the place tidy. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded on weekends, especially during the festival season, so things might take a little longer then. We don't have a big corporate team or anything like that. It's just us working here, making sure everyone who walks in feels okay. Old Washermanpet is a tight-knit area, and we like being part of it. If you're walking past the college, you'll see our sign. We're usually around from morning till evening. It’s a plain shop, but we get the job done. People seem to appreciate that we’re consistent and don’t change our prices every other month. Just a local beauty parlour for the neighborhood folks.
