Our spot is at No 13 on 7th Street in Perambur Barracks. We are specifically in the Asirvathapuram area, which is very close to the B4 Police Station. That’s the easiest way to tell people where we are located. Perambur Barracks is a busy place, and 7th Street has its own share of activity throughout the day. Our simple shopfront has been here for quite some time. It’s not a polished or fancy place, just a working space with our stuff stored and a small area to talk to people. Since we are near a police station, there is always some movement on the road, which makes it feel safe but also a bit crowded. Big marketing plans aren't something we focus on. We just rely on people seeing us here or hearing about us from someone else in the neighborhood. Every morning we drink our coffee at the same shop and then get to work. It’s a very routine life, but it works for us. The building is old and shows its age, but it’s sturdy and keeps us out of the sun. Tools and materials are kept organized as best as we can in the back area. It’s just a normal, everyday business in a regular part of Chennai. Trying to be anything else isn't our way of doing things. We just stay busy with our work and keep the shop open.
