If you head to 22A Vinayakan Koil Street, you will find Jaya Lakshmi Dmayo Clinic. We are on the 3rd Main Road in Lakshmi Nagar, which is part of the Porur neighborhood. It’s a residential area mostly, so it’s not as loud as the main highway nearby. The street is named after the temple, so it's easy for people to find us once they get to Lakshmi Nagar. Our clinic is in a regular building, number 22A. We have a few rooms set up for our daily tasks. It’s a very simple environment. We don't have any of those modern art pieces or expensive rugs you see in brochures. It’s just tiled floors and some plastic chairs for people to sit on while they wait. We spend a lot of time talking to the locals who live on the 3rd Main Road. Porur is a busy place but our little corner feels a bit more relaxed than the rest of the city. We have a routine that we follow every day. One of us comes in early to open the shutters and get things ready. We don't have a big corporate office telling us what to do every minute. We just do what feels right for the clinic and the people who come here. Sometimes we run out of forms and have to go get copies made down the street. It’s just a normal way of running a small place.
