Jalks Pharmaceuticals Private Limited is tucked away on Dhanammal Street, right off Spurtank Road in Chetpet. If you know Chennai, you know this area is always moving. We are at Number 6, and it’s a pretty standard building for this part of the city. We’ve been operating out of this office for a while. It’s not a big glass tower or anything like that. It’s just a regular room with desks, some old computers, and a lot of files. We deal with the pharmaceutical side of things, mostly focusing on the administrative and supply details. The street outside can get pretty cramped with scooters and cars, but that’s just life in Chennai. We are a small group of people who have worked in the pharma industry for years. We don’t have a marketing team or a PR person. If you call us, you’ll probably just talk to one of the guys in the back. We spend our days tracking shipments and making sure the billing is right. It’s not very glamorous, but it’s what we know how to do. Sometimes we stay late when a big order comes in, and other times we leave early if the work is done. We don't have a mission statement on the wall. We just have a calendar and a to-do list. It’s a simple, honest way to run a business in Chetpet.
