Our office is on Jasoda Bank Street at number 10. It’s an old part of Chennai, down in the 600001 pin code area. We’ve been running Impresario Event Management India Ltd from this spot for quite some time. It’s not a very big street, so parking can be a real headache if you arrive after ten. Most of us take the train or a bus. We do a lot of planning for various events, mostly things that need a bit of organizing. The office has piles of posters and old event plans everywhere. It feels lived-in. We aren't really into those flashy corporate presentations. We just sit down with a notebook and figure out what needs to happen. Someone usually goes out to get coffee for the group around three o'clock. We talk about the logistics and the vendors. Things change fast in this business, so we have to stay on our toes. We have a few long-term staff who have been here since the start. It’s more like a family than a company, to be honest. We argue about where the stage should go and then we figure it out. We don't have a receptionist, so if the phone rings, whoever is closest just picks it up. That’s how we’ve always done it here on Jasoda Bank Street. It works for us and keeps the stress down.
