Golden Beauty Parlour

Golden Beauty Parlour is located at No 29/69 on Thandavaraya Gramani Street. We are right in the Tondiarpet Market area, so it’s never quiet around here. Being near Chandrapandian Stores helps people find us, but the market noise is always there in the background. The shop is quite narrow. We have a row of mirrors on one wall and a few chairs that have seen better days. The leather on the seats is a bit torn, but we covered it with some clean cloth. I usually spend the morning setting out the combs and making sure we have enough clean water. Tondiarpet is a busy place, and we get all sorts of people coming in. Some just want a quick face wash after working in the market. We don't have any bright lights or music playing. It’s just the sound of the scissors and people talking. Sometimes the drain gets blocked because of all the hair, and I have to fix it myself with a wire. We keep a few bottles of rose water and some basic creams on the counter. It’s an old-fashioned way of doing things, I suppose. No appointments or anything, you just walk in and wait your turn on the wooden bench. It’s been this way for years and we don’t plan on changing much. The neighbors are good people and we look out for each other.
