We are over here at Basin Water Work Street in Sowcarpet. If you know Chennai, you know how crowded this part of town gets, especially around the Elephant Gate Police Station area. Our office at No 19 isn't anything fancy, just a regular space where we get our work done every day. It’s usually quite loud outside with all the rickshaws and people moving goods, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. Some days the heat is a bit much, so we keep the fans running high. We’ve been in this spot for a while now. Most people find us by looking for the police station first since the street names can get a bit confusing for folks who don’t live around here. Inside, it’s mostly just desks piled with papers and a couple of old chairs for when neighbors drop by to chat. We don’t have any big reception area or shiny signs. It is just a practical place to sit down and handle the business side of things. Sometimes the electricity goes for a bit, but that’s just life in Sowcarpet. We try to keep things organized, though it doesn’t always stay that way when we are busy. The tea stall at the corner is where we spend our breaks. It’s a simple setup we have here, nothing more. We just show up, do what needs doing, and head home when the sun goes down.
