Gavs Technologies

We are based at 419 32, 21St Street in Gkm Colony, Chennai. The company is Gavs Technologies. It is a quiet residential street, so it’s not like those big IT parks you see in other parts of the city. I prefer it this way because it is easier to get work done without the massive crowds. We handle a lot of technical stuff, mostly things related to software and computer systems. The office is basically a few rooms filled with computers and cables everywhere. It gets pretty warm in Chennai, so the fans are always on full blast. Most of our work is done for clients who aren't even in the same neighborhood. We spend hours on calls or typing away at keyboards. I started this in Gkm Colony because it was close to home. The neighbors are used to us being here now. Sometimes we stay late when there is a bug that needs fixing or a server goes down. It isn't a glamorous job, but it’s what we know how to do. I don't believe in using too much jargon when I talk to people. If something is broken, we just fix it. The local shops nearby are where we get our lunch every day. It’s a very local feel for a tech company. We just keep our heads down and focus on the screens until the job is finished for the day. There is always a new problem to solve but we take it as it comes.
