Fix My Jig

We set up Fix My Jig right here at Palmgrove Apartments on Sosen Street. It's not a big fancy place, just our spot near Bharani Nursing Home in Perambur. People bring things in when they're stuck. Mostly we deal with mechanical stuff and small repairs. My cousin and I started this because we liked taking things apart. We've been at No 63/1 for a while now. The neighborhood knows us. Sometimes it gets messy with all the tools, but that is how it goes. If you are walking down towards the nursing home, you will see our sign. It's not always quiet here. We work odd hours sometimes. Mostly, we just try to get the work done right so it stays fixed. It is a small team, just a couple of us doing the actual repairs. Chennai gets hot, so we usually have the fan going full blast while we tinker. It is a straightforward setup. We don't have a big office or anything. Just the workbench and some parts. A lot of folks from the apartments drop by. We are easy to find if you know the Perambur area. It’s been a good few years on this street. We just keep our heads down and work on whatever is on the table that day. No fuss about it. We have grease on our hands and a lot of patience. Sometimes a repair takes longer than we thought, but we don't like to rush it. We just sit there until we figure out why it isn't working right. That’s how we’ve always done it. It’s not glamorous, but it keeps us busy.
