Doctor G Ranga Rao

Our office is located over at D 20-26 within the IIT Campus in Chennai. Being inside the campus is a bit different from the rest of the city. It’s much greener and there are more trees around, which provides a lot of shade. Doctor G Ranga Rao has been at this spot for a while now. The building is one of those standard campus structures, nothing too modern, just solid and functional for our needs. To get here, you have to go through the main gates and follow the winding roads inside. It’s a 600001 pincode area, which is right in the heart of things, yet it feels isolated from the heavy traffic outside. The monkeys are always around, sometimes sitting on the walls or even the roof. We just ignore them and go about our business. Inside, the rooms are kept simple. There are files and some old chairs for people to sit on. It doesn’t feel like a high-end clinic or anything; it’s more like a workspace that has seen a lot of years. The light coming through the trees makes it a bit dim inside during the late afternoon. We don’t have much in the way of fancy equipment or decor. It’s just a place where we come to work every morning and stay until we are finished. Most of the people who come by are from the campus itself or nearby areas. It’s a quiet life here compared to the noise of the city.
