Diya Events

We are located at No 11 on Chakkarai Chetty Street. If you know Sowcarpet, you know how tight the streets are. It’s always buzzing with people and carts. Diya Events does event work from here. It started small and we just kept going. Our space is tucked away in the middle of all the market noise. We handle the logistics for different kinds of functions. Sometimes it’s a lot of flower arrangements, other times it’s just getting the seating right. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who have been doing this for a long time. We know where to find everything in Chennai because we’ve lived here forever. Sowcarpet is a great place for sourcing materials, so being on Chakkarai Chetty Street helps us out a lot. We aren't fancy people. We just show up, set things up, and make sure everything is in place. It’s a lot of physical work and phone calls. Sometimes things don't go perfectly, but we always try to fix it. We don't use big words or have a glossy brochure. We just work from our little spot at No 11. It’s honest work and we are glad to be part of the community here. The neighbors know us and we know them, which makes working here much easier.
