Disco Hair Stylist

Disco Hair Stylist is a small shop on M.P.M. Street in Perambur. If you are looking for us, we are right near the S.R. Tea Shop. Most people grab a tea there and then come over to get their hair cut. We have been in this part of Chennai for a long time. The name "Disco" is just something that stuck from years ago. The shop is quite modest. We have the standard barber chairs and old-fashioned mirrors that have been there since we opened. It is a noisy street with bikes and cars going past, but that is just how Perambur is. We get all sorts of people coming in, from young boys to the older men who have lived here their whole lives. We don't have an air conditioner, just some strong ceiling fans that keep the air moving. It is a place where you can hear the latest neighborhood gossip or just sit quietly while we work. We don't have any big promises or fancy brochures. We just use our scissors and combs to get the job done. It is a very local way of doing things. We know the routines of the street and when the tea shop gets its deliveries. It is just a basic, honest shop for the people living around here. The floor gets covered in hair by the afternoon, but we try to sweep it up when we get a break.
