Our shop is located at 83/120 on Patel Road in Perambur. It is right near Srinivasa Priya Hospital, so there is always a lot of traffic and people walking by outside. It stays quite busy in this part of Chennai, especially with the hospital so close. We open up early and stay late most days because that is when people need us. Inside, we have a few chairs lined up against the wall. We mostly do basic haircuts and beard trims for the men around here. Sometimes people come in after visiting the hospital or just workers from the nearby shops who need a quick trim. The mirrors are a bit old and the tiles on the floor have seen better days, but the place stays clean enough. We have a small radio that usually plays some local music or the news to keep things from being too quiet. When the weather gets really hot in Chennai, it can get stuffy inside, but we keep the door open to let some breeze in. Most of the regulars have been coming to us for years and they don't even have to say what they want anymore. We just know. It is a simple routine day after day. We just focus on the work in front of us and try to make sure nobody has to wait too long for their turn.
