Deepam Health Centre is located over on Ayyasamy Street in Nehru Nagar. If you know Chrompet, you know this part of town has its own rhythm. Our building is at number 30. It’s a regular street with houses and small shops around us. We’ve been here for a while, and the place has its own quirks. The tiles in the hallway are a bit old-fashioned, and the chairs in the waiting area have been sat in by a lot of people over the years. It’s a private limited company but it doesn't feel like a big corporation. It feels more like a local hub. People drop by for checkups or to pick up reports. The staff is mostly local folks who speak the language and know how to handle the morning rush. Sometimes the air conditioning struggles a bit when the afternoon sun hits the front of the building, but we manage. We don’t have those fancy automated systems for everything; a lot of things are still done the old way with pens and logbooks. It’s reliable enough for the folks who live in the neighborhood. You won't find any slick brochures here. We just provide a place for people to come when they aren't feeling well. It’s about the day-to-day work, keeping the rooms ready and the lights on for whoever walks through the door.
