Dean Foundation Childrens Hospital

Dean Foundation Childrens Hospital is located on Halls Road in the Egmore area. Egmore is one of those parts of town that feels like it’s been there forever, and our hospital fits right into that scene. We focus specifically on kids here. The building on Halls Road is dedicated to pediatric care, so we see children of all ages coming through the doors every day. It’s a busy place because, as any parent knows, kids are always getting into something or coming down with a cough. The atmosphere is a bit different than a regular hospital because we have toys and some bright colors to make it less scary for the little ones. It’s a bit worn down in places because of how much use it gets, but we keep everything as clean as possible. The staff is used to dealing with crying babies and worried parents, so they have a lot of patience. Halls Road itself can be a nightmare for traffic, especially in the afternoons. Inside the hospital, we have different wards and rooms set up just for children's needs. We aren't a massive corporation; it feels more like a community facility that people in Egmore rely on. Every day we just try to get through the appointments and make sure the kids are being looked after. It’s hard work, but it’s what we’ve been doing here for years. We just stay focused on the children.
