Chitti Babu Plastic Works

We are located on Wall Tax Road. Our shop has two numbers because of the way they changed the streets, so we are New No. 400 but people still know it as Old No. 175. We do plastic works here, which involves a lot of molding and shaping different parts. The shop is narrow and stretches back a long way. It’s a very old part of the city and the street is always full of traffic and people. We have the machines set up in the back where it’s a bit cooler. The front is where we show some of the things we’ve made. We don't have any glossy catalogs to give out. If you want to see our work, you just have to come in and look at the samples on the shelf. It’s a family-run thing and we’ve been on this road for many years. We know most of the other shopkeepers around here. The work can be repetitive, making the same pieces over and over, but it’s what we do. We don't have a mission statement or any big goals. We just want to keep the machines running and finish the orders for the people who come in. It gets very loud with the street noise and the machines going at the same time, but we don't mind it. Most of the time we are just busy packing up orders for the small shops in the neighborhood who buy from us regularly.
