Chamandeswari Beauty Parlour

You can find us on Arani Gangan Street in Washermanpet. We are located right at the back of the Maharani Theater. It’s a bit of a busy lane, especially when a movie is letting out or starting. The parlour is at 10/2 and it’s a modest place. We do basic beauty work like eyebrows, hair cutting, and simple skin care. We have a few curtains for privacy and the usual chairs you’d expect. The lighting is just normal bulbs, nothing too soft or fancy. We keep our supplies like cotton, wax, and combs in small plastic bins on the counters. It’s a place where women from the surrounding houses come to get their regular stuff done. We don't have a receptionist or anything; we just handle whoever walks in through the door. Sometimes we have a few people waiting on the bench outside or inside if there is space. It gets a little warm in the afternoons, but we have the fans going full speed. We’ve been here long enough that we know which customers like their coffee or who is in a hurry to get back to their kids. It’s just a small local business run by people who live nearby. We focus on the task at hand and try to keep the shop as neat as we can. There is always a lot of chatter about life while we work. It’s just how things are in this part of town.
