I started this shop on Pilkington Road a long time ago. People around Ayanavaram know us well. It’s a small place at No:54. We’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years. We are right near the Siaani stop, so it's easy to find if you're coming by bus. It’s just me and a couple of others working here most days. We don't do anything too fancy, just regular haircuts for the men and kids nearby. Sometimes the shop gets a bit crowded on weekends, especially in the mornings. You might have to wait on the bench for a bit. We try to keep things simple and honest. Most of our customers have been coming here since they were little. Now they bring their own kids. We use the same old chairs and mirrors we've always had. It feels like home to us. If you’re walking past the Siaani stop, you'll see our sign. We keep it clean and do our work quietly. No loud music or anything. Just the sound of scissors and people chatting about the news or local stuff. It’s a plain shop, nothing like those big malls. We know everyone’s name who walks through the door. Chennai gets hot, so the fan is always running full speed. We just keep doing what we know.
