Babu Engineering Contractors.

We’ve been at No. 23, Varadarajan Street for a good while now. It’s right near the mosque in Manali, so you can always hear the calls to prayer throughout the day, which kind of helps us keep track of the time when things get busy. Babu Engineering Contractors isn't a big fancy office or anything like that. It’s mostly just us working through piles of papers and dealing with the usual stuff that comes with contracting. The street gets pretty crowded in the afternoons, especially with the local traffic. Sometimes finding a spot to park is a real headache. Our space is functional, mostly filled with files, a few old desks, and the smell of grease and dust from the sites. We usually start early before the sun gets too hot over Manali. If you’re coming down Varadarajan Street, just look for the mosque and we are right there. We don't have a big sign with flashing lights. It’s a plain door. Most people around here know us by name anyway. We spend a lot of time on the phone or out at different spots, but this is where the main work happens. The floor is a bit uneven and the fan makes a clicking noise, but it works for us. We just keep doing what we do every day without much fuss. It’s just how it is here. Nothing too complicated, just a local spot where we get our work finished.
