Auto Associates

We are over at No 121 on General Patters Road. If you know Mount Road, then you know how busy it gets around here. Our shop, Auto Associates, has been sitting in this spot for a good while now. It’s not a huge place, just enough room for the parts we keep and a couple of desks where we sit and handle the paperwork. Most days are pretty much the same. We open up early, get the tea going, and wait for the first delivery to show up. General Patters Road is always noisy with horns and people moving things back and forth, so you kind of get used to the racket after a few years. We don't have fancy signs or anything like that. Just the name on the door and a lot of stock on the shelves. Sometimes it’s hard to find what you’re looking for because things get moved around when we’re busy, but we usually know where everything is tucked away. It’s a lot of manual work, lifting boxes and checking lists. We aren't doing anything revolutionary, just making sure the right parts go to the right people. The heat in the afternoon can be a bit much, especially when the traffic outside stops moving. We just keep the fan running and stay focused on the orders. It’s a simple way to make a living and we’ve gotten to know the other shop owners on the street.
