Anamica Effects

You can find Anamica Effects over at No 165 Peters Road in Royapettah. We are up on the third floor, so there are a lot of stairs to climb every single day. It keeps us fit, I suppose. We are right opposite New College, which means the street is always full of students and young people moving around. Chennai is always loud, and Royapettah is no different. From our windows, we can see the traffic crawling along Peters Road. Inside the office, things are a bit quieter, but there is always the hum of computers. We do a lot of visual work, so the lights are often kept low so we can see the screens better. It is not a polished showroom; it is more like a workshop where people are focused on their monitors. We have a small corner for making tea and a few extra chairs for when people drop by to discuss projects. Sometimes the lift in the building is temperamental, so we just take the stairs instead. The neighborhood has a lot of history, and we like being part of this old part of the city. It is a bit cramped with all the hard drives and gear we have sitting around, but it is our space. We do not have any big signs or flashy lights outside. Just a small plate on the door that says who we are. It’s a honest place where we just get our work done.
