Amik Spices International Private Limited is based at No.23/11 on Maroof Sahib Street. This is right near Mount Road and Anna Salai, which is one of the busiest parts of Chennai you could find. If you have ever tried to park a vehicle around here, you know it’s almost impossible. We spend a lot of our time dealing with spices that go all over the place. Being so central means we are right in the middle of the action, which is both good and bad. The noise from Anna Salai is constant, but you get used to the sound of horns and engines after a while. Our office and storage area is always filled with bags of spices waiting to be moved. It’s a lot of logistics, making sure things get where they need to go on time. Sometimes the rains in Chennai make things difficult, as we have to be very careful that the spices stay dry. Maroof Sahib Street is a narrow lane, and it feels very traditional compared to the big modern buildings on the main road. We have a small team of people who have been with us through many seasons. We don't have any fancy mission statements or anything, we just focus on the orders we have for the day. It’s about being reliable and getting the work done so we can do it again tomorrow without any big delays.
