Our shop, Ahr Agencies, is tucked away inside the Nakoda Complex. If you know Narayana Mudali Street in Soecarpet, you already know how packed and busy it gets every single day. We are located at No: 83/23. It’s a pretty tight space with cardboard boxes stacked everywhere, often reaching all the way to the ceiling. It is always noisy outside with all the handcarts and people pushing through the narrow lanes to get to different shops. We’ve been in this exact spot for quite some time now. Most of our day is spent answering the phone or talking to the people who drop in to see what we have in stock. It is definitely not a quiet or polished office, that’s for sure. We still keep track of a lot of things in old paper ledgers and use the computer when it actually decides to work. The tea guy comes around twice a day, and that’s usually when we take a short break to breathe. Being in Soecarpet means you are right in the middle of all the trade. It can be a real headache to get deliveries in and out because of the traffic jams, but we are used to it by now. Ahr Agencies is just a small place trying to keep things moving. We don’t have a big sign or anything flashy to show off. Just the door and a lot of work waiting inside. We try to stay organized, but in a place like Nakoda Complex, there is always a little bit of chaos.
