A L Traders is tucked away at 7/57 on Venkatachalam Naicken Street. If you know Triplicane, you know these streets can be quite narrow and very busy. We’ve been in this spot for a long time. It’s a traditional area, and we like being part of the community here. Our shop is small, but we pack a lot into it. There’s always someone coming in to ask for something or to just have a quick chat. We deal with various goods, and the stock changes depending on what’s available. It’s a bit cramped inside with all the bags and boxes, but we know where everything is kept. The noise from the street is constant, with bikes and people passing by all day. We start early in the morning before the heat gets too bad. Triplicane is a lively place, and we wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. We don't have a website or anything like that; we just open the doors and get to work. Most of our customers are neighbors or people who have been coming to us for years. We treat everyone the same. It’s a simple way of doing business, based on knowing people and being reliable. Sometimes the deliveries are late because of the traffic, but that’s just life in this part of town. We keep going regardless. We close up when the sun goes down and the street lights come on.
