Madambakkam has changed a lot lately with so many new buildings going up, and we’ve been right in the middle of it. Our office is a simple setup where we keep our files and meet with contractors. Most of our mornings start with a quick check on the current projects around Chennai. We aren't a corporate firm with hundreds of employees; we are just a small team trying to keep things running smoothly. Some days are just spent arguing about the price of cement or waiting for a permit to come through. It’s honest work, even if it’s a bit messy sometimes with all the mud and dust from the sites. We don't have a glossy brochure or a fancy reception. Usually, you’ll find us in old clothes because we’ve probably just come from a site visit. We know the roads in this part of Chennai very well by now. The fan in the office hums all day, and there is always a stack of blueprints that someone forgot to fold back up. We just focus on one job at a time and try to make sure the building stands tall. It’s not a complicated philosophy, just a daily routine of building and managing what we can in our local area. We usually have some tea around four and talk about the next day’s plans.
