Rak India Granites Private Limited is located over at No. 1, A-Block in the Badal Residency. We are on Periyar Road in Chitlapakkam. Being in Chennai, it’s always a bit humid and things move fast. Our office is a simple place where we handle the orders and talk to people. We don't have a lot of decorative stuff around. Mostly just samples and files. The 600064 pincode is where we spend most of our daylight hours. Dealing with granite means you're always thinking about weights and transport. It’s not easy to move these things around. We spend a lot of time on the phone or checking the yard. It’s a job that keeps you on your feet. We don't bother with fancy titles or anything like that. We are just a group of people working with stone. Some days the traffic on Periyar Road is a nightmare, but we manage. We’ve got the regular routine of checking the quality and making sure the cuts are okay. It’s honest work. Nothing really flashy about it. We just do what we do. The Badal Residency spot is where everything gets sorted. We’ve seen a lot of changes in the neighborhood over time. But the granite business stays pretty much the same. You need good stone and a way to get it to people. That’s our day. It starts early and ends when the last truck leaves the gate. We don't ask for much more than a smooth day of work.
