JJ Infrastructures & Developers Private Limited has a setup in SSM Nagar in Alapakkam. Our office is actually in one of the apartment blocks, flat 212 in block A-11. It’s a bit of a different way to work since we are right there in the middle of a residential area in New Perungalathur. We do a lot of our planning right from here. Chennai is expanding so fast and we are right in the thick of it. There are always kids playing outside and people moving around the complex. We have a couple of rooms set up with desks and plenty of power strips for all our gear. Most of our day is spent talking to contractors or checking on the progress of various sites around the city. It’s not a fancy corporate headquarters, just a place where we get the work done. We deal with a lot of paperwork and technical drawings that take up most of our space. Sometimes we have meetings at the local tea shop because it’s easier than trying to fit everyone into the flat. We work long hours because construction doesn't really stop. We just try to keep things moving and make sure the projects are heading in the right direction. It’s a lot of small details that add up to a finished building. We just take it one day at a time and see what needs to be fixed. It’s quiet enough for us to focus.
