Cicilica Tigga Construction Private Limited is located down in Padur, Chennai, right on Vembuliamman Koil Street. We’re pretty close to the OMR Road, which everyone knows is the heart of the IT corridor, but our little street feels a bit more like old Chennai. You can hear the sounds from the temple nearby, which is a nice change from the constant roar of the heavy traffic on the main road. The office is at number 67. It’s a busy place, especially in the mornings when we’re trying to coordinate where the trucks need to go and who’s showing up at which site. The humidity in Chennai can be brutal, so the office usually smells a bit like damp paper and strong coffee. We have a lot of maps and schedules pinned to the walls with old tape that’s starting to peel. It’s not the most organized looking place, but we know where everything is. We spend a lot of time talking to local suppliers and trying to make sure our materials arrive on time, which is always a bit of a gamble with the traffic around here. We’re just local people who know the construction trade and we’ve been working out of this Padur spot for a while. It’s loud, it’s hot, and there’s always something that needs to be filed or signed, but it’s our daily routine and we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of it all.
