Yashas Switchgears

Our place is down at Doddathogur Road Cross, right in the Konappana Agrahara area near the Electronic City Post. If you know this part of town, you know it’s always moving. We deal with switchgears and electrical components. It’s technical work, but we talk about it like normal people. Most of the day is spent checking parts and making sure the assembly is going okay. The workshop gets a bit loud, but that’s just how it is when you’re building stuff. We have been here for some time now. The roads around the post office can get quite packed during the evening rush. We usually have a few tea breaks to catch our breath. It’s a small team here. We know each other's names and how we work. There’s no big corporate vibe in this building. Just a bunch of guys who understand how electricity needs to be managed and controlled. We keep our tools organized, mostly. Sometimes the shipments arrive late and we have to stay a bit longer to get everything sorted out. Being in Electronic City helps because a lot of what we do fits right into what’s happening in the neighborhood. We don't spend money on fancy brochures. We just do the work, pack the gear, and get it sent off to whoever ordered it. It’s a straightforward way to earn a living and we’ve gotten pretty used to the rhythm of this road.
