Our place is at 1925 in Sector 22B, Chandigarh. This is one of the older, more central sectors, so it has a lot of character. The office is part of a building that has seen plenty of years. We have a fairly simple setup inside. There’s a main room where most of us sit, and then a smaller back room that we use for storage and the occasional private meeting. The desks are large and take up a lot of the floor space. We have a lot of reference books and old files piled up on whatever flat surface we can find. The windows are large enough to let in some good afternoon sun, which is nice in the winter months. Sector 22 is a busy area, but our specific corner in 22B stays relatively calm. We usually walk over to the local market if we need anything. There’s no fancy lobby or anything like that here. You just walk through the door and you’re right in the middle of where we work. We have an old clock on the wall that ticks quite loudly, but we’ve stopped noticing it. The floor is simple tile, and the walls are a light shade of cream that’s faded a bit over time. It’s a practical, no-nonsense office. We come in, do our work, and head home. It’s a solid, reliable space that suits the way we operate in Chandigarh.
